Family Services

AACCESS-Ohio provides many different services to families throughout the community. If Arab-Americans who do not
speak English well need an interpreter to accompany them to any kind of appointment then one can be provided. Some
common situations are doctor appointments, trips to the Social Security office, and meetings with teachers. Many times,
members of the community who do not have proficient English skills will even bring their mail to AACCESS so that
someone may explain to them what is written in letters from Social Security or Medicare, or their utility companies. An
interpreter can also make phone calls to clarify any information, or help the client fill out any necessary paperwork.

If a client needs help registering a child in a new school system or needs help looking for a place to live, AACCESS can
help. AACCESS-Ohio can help in many different situations. If you would like to make sure that AACCESS can help you,
direct your questions either by phone (216) 252-2900 or email.
